Surfing: Watergate Bay, Newquay Wind Direction: E Wind Stength: light offshore Surf / Sea State: Clean 3foot Air Temperature: 15C Sea Temperature: ok Weather: Sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Awake at the crack of dawn hungover after a cracking night out in Bristol.
Off to Exeter to pick the parents up and down to Newquay for 12ish.
Watched England beat Stralia in the Phoneix which was utter brilliance and
then off for a surf sesh.
Offshore winds meant it was a piece of piss gettin outta the back. The
waves were breaking nicely and a few lovely 3 footer sets came through from
time to time so had some nice long wave rides in. I fell of my second wave
ride and got caught in the washing machine effect, the board somehow
whacked me on the head and I later realised after the surf session I had
split it open. It hurt at the time but didn't realise blood was pissing
out.
A cracking surf session, I and 2 others were the last out right through to
pitch black darkness when we struggled to see the front of our boards.
In all a cracking weekend so far.
